Light and Culture, March 6-8, 2013. Bangkok |
|
Alhamdulillah, I wrote a research paper and it was accepted to a
7th LUX PACIFICA Conference in Bangkok! Lux Pacifica 2013 will be held in
Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok Thailand from March 6-8, 2013.
The good news is I'm the first author, and will be the first Malaysian presenting
2 research papers at the conference. Title:
(1) Paper ID (LPT049):
Malaysia Perspective on Artificial and Natural Light to the 24 hours Lifestyle: A Literature Review
(2) Paper ID (LPT054):
Effects of Environmental Luminance on Work Performance of Night Shift Workers in an Electronic Company
This special conference organized and host by Illuminating Engineering Association of Thailand (TIEA). Over 50 participants will be coming from over 20 countries (Australia, UK, Taiwan, US, Japan etc), and I can't wait to meet them all and see what they will create through their lighting research.
The focus of the conference will be light and culture, fundamental of lighting and day lighting, vision and color, energy efficiency, outdoor and indoor lighting, light and health, light and architecture, lighting design, lighting fixtures, sources of light and control systems, LEDs and their application, irradiation systems, light measurements, standards of lighting, optical devices, sensors and displays and radiometric of optical properties of materials.
And rehearse, rehearse, rehearse!
Well, I guess I can tell you this. My advisor always said that,
"...you are the expert of your research, you know your research problem better than anyone else. There's nothing to be afraid of when you talk about it in front of a large audience. You are the expert!!!".
